서울을 기반으로 흑백 사진 작업을 하고 있습니다.
밤, 그림자, 오래된 표면, 그리고 장소 안에 남겨진 사람의 기척에 관심이 있습니다.
현재는 대학교 캠퍼스의 밤을 배경으로 한 흑백 필름 사진 작업 〈밤의 피부〉를 진행하고 있습니다.
익숙한 공간이 밤의 어둠 속에서 낯설게 변하는 순간,
그리고 사람과 사물이 같은 어둠 아래 하나의 표면처럼 드러나는 순간을 기록합니다.
흑백 사진은 세계를 단순화하는 방식이 아니라, 낮에는 쉽게 지나쳤던 빛과 질감, 침묵을 더 오래 바라보기 위한 방법입니다.
I am Seoul-based black and white photographer working mainly with film.
My photographs explore night, shadow, old surfaces, and the quiet presence of people within places.
My current project, The Skin of Night, is set in university campuses after dark.
It looks at how familiar institutional spaces become unfamiliar at night,
And how people and objects begin to resemble one another in darkness.
Black and white photography is not only a matter of style for me.
It is a way of looking longer at subtle light, texture, silence, and the emotional weight of ordinary places.
